Pansh is a fraud! They took my money for the 2nd order and refuse to send the kite! Don't buy it. Hear my story: I purchased a kite 15m Kestrel Pansh, 4 different lines broke after only 50 hours of riding it. The kite never fell to the water, and all broke in the air. Each line on a different day. I emailed them to send me new lines and said that I am willing to pay for it (even though it wasn't my fault), they ignored my email. I complained about it in the Pansh group in Kestrel, being low quality kite. Then I emailed them again with the screenshot of FB group of my complain, finally they answered really rude: "There is no problem with the white bridle. It won't break itself. Your statement is incorrect. We have never heard of anyone breaking the A bridles in the world, so we cannot send you the A bridles. This is the official and final response, and we will not reply to your question again. Thank you for your understanding. Rose Zhang " Then I made another purchase, because it was cheap but they terminated my account and banned me from the FB group. They refuse to refund my money and send the kite saying I hurt their company. So basically they stole my money.I opened a case on Paypal have to wait now 10 days Just wanted to warn you all from this shity company, with 0 support, shity quality kites, and committing frauds online.

La kestrel n est pas très puissante mais a un depower très efficace. Donc je préfère la 21m. Attention , tres physique en barre dans cette taille

@@MrMax940 Non, il faut se renseigner sur les forums, mais en gros soit faire des petites rallonges sur le bridage Z , soit faire un noeud en huit sur les bridages B ou C
Salut Régis, As tu essayé la Flysurfer VMG en 18m2 dans le très light avec des lignes longues (25m) ? ça peux bien marcher versus la Pulsion et la Kestral tu pense ? Et 2eme question la Pulsion 15 est elle beaucoup mieux que la Pulsion 16s toujours dans le très light ? J'hésite entre tout ces modèles en remplacement de ma Pulsion 16s. Merci à toi
Salut, Jen'ai pas essaye' la vmg ; J'ai vu des pro la rider dans peu d'air, mais au prix d une technicite' sans faille et de prier pour le que vent reste bine laminaire dans chaque phase d'arret ; mais oui une fois lancee, leur vitesse et hauteur de saut dans peu de vent est tres bonne. pour une aile tres allongee ca doit etre une des meilleures en tres light ; mais forcement plus de risque de revenir en nageant qu avec une pulsion 16s ou 15 ou 18 ... Oui j'ai trouve' au moins 1 noeud , surement 2 meme , de difference entre la 16s et la 15 ; pour mon faible poids en tout cas dans 5-6 noeuds ; pou run poids plus ourd dans 7-8 noeuds, la difference doit s'attenuer je pense ... par contre la 15 a plus de traction laterale une fois en ride, donc plus physique, moins rapide en ligne droite, moins de plage haute , mais plus maniable lignes detendues pour le jibes approximatifs en light et meilleurs redecollage. Perso j'ai prefere la pu15m par rapport a 16s, et de loin car c'est mon aile de vent le plus leger possible ... Une autre bonne aile de light est la gin spirit 15m , un super equilibre entre stabilite et fond de puissance avec 23 m de lignes, puis vitesse et sauts en light , plage basse tres proche de Pu15 sans avoir le timing et la technicite' parfaite d une vmg ; la Pulsion accepte plus de longueur de ligne (jusque 35m) que la vmg (a mon avis 20m max) et que la spirit (25 m max)
Ce Kite Pansh Kestrel , c'est bien pour le très light ? Mieux que la Pulsion ou pas ? Ou la Pulson garde toujours le haut du classement pour le très light ?
La pulsion est plus facile et tient mieux en l'air ; donc pour un rideur experimente' il partira avec un peu moins de vent, disons 0.5 noeuds; , en revanche la Kestrel est plus porteuse des qu'il y a ce 0.5 noeuds en plus, donc sauts possibles ; pour un rideur expert, et avec quelaues optimisations de profil, on est tres proche dans les deux cas , mais il faut etre "plus attentif avec la KESTREL ; PAR EXEMPLE LA SAUVER DE L'EAU EN TIRANT SUR LES AVANTS EST MOINS EFFICACE QUE LA PULSION, SON REDECOLLAGE AUSSI ; LLa kestrel reste une aile compatible pour le tres light, mais pas l optimum pour le freerideur "classique"

@@bennettian ah... alors si tu as une 16m, c est le modèle pulsion S je suppose... sa plage basse est moins bonne que modèle pulsion standard. Dans l ordre de vent mini pour waterstart , je dirais: 1-pulsion 18 2- pulsion 15 3- kestrel 21 (light) 4- kestrel 18 (lignt) 5 -pulsion 12m ou 16s, je les pense équivalente. Frs18 ici aussi Regis

Hello Régis, Avec 8/12 noeuds, une 12 m n'aurait pas suffi ? (Vu ton top niveau). Sinon, que penses tu des ailes hybrides, type Airwave ou Marabout pour le foil ? (Actuellement, j'ai 10 et 12m en Airush Ultra)
Oui des potes étaient en 10 et 12m ; mais j'aime la portance des grosses ailes lorsque je je peux encore les tenir. Les Hybrides sont des ailes faciles et intuitive, secures . mais elles acceptent pal les plages haute et sautent tres mal ; ca ne me correspond pas mais c est tres bine pour qui veut du plug and play ou jouer dans les vagues ou vents tres pourri ; La airwave est plus proche d une double peau, donc ca attenue cet effet un peu, l'ai pu tester la 12m que j'ai bine aimé, mais sans me projeter dans mon type de nav. Merci pour la vidéo. Je suis en train de chercher un addition pour une skycountry hysper2 en 14m2. Je l'utilise en kite foil jusqu'a 13 noeuds environ. Tu pense pour une planche kite foil (grand foil, équivalent moses 633) ca va avec un hawk 8m à partir de 13 noeuds?
La puissance de la hawk est comparable a un boudin de meme taille... Donc 13 noeuds, oui ca devrait le faire.... Surtout si tu as une bonne technique de loop. Mais bon je n ai jamais testé sa plage basse...

Do you have pulleys on your rear lines on the bar? Looks like a non standard setup?
Yes i have it on this test. Set up is out of tge bag without modification. I am currently testing without the rear pulley if it remains acceptable (and decrease bar pressure)
Sorry I misunderstood your question. My bar is without pulley. It has a customer trim on rear lines but no pulley. And standard set up of the kite, out of the bag
how do you find that the kestrel performs compared to previous pansh kites? how about to a higher quality kite like the flysurfer soul? also if using a wing board do you think you would be able to use a smaller kite size to begin foiling? do you think this would be preferred for easier relaunch etc...?
You should read dedicated forums like kiteforum(dot)com. I describe it in more details. i find this last pansh of good fabrication quality and excellent flight caractéristics. A bit soul-like kite, but with better agility and high end. relaunch is good but not as good as soul which is the best relaunch ofcall foilkites in my opinion

thank you, indeed i prefer kiting than swimming :-) ; but now with the wisdom of the age , I consider it a s pack : kite + swim to be compared to juste look a t the nice breezee from the beach ... pool

Il faut du courage pour sortir au mois de décembre dans des conditions aussi limites. On aimerait voir la galère et comment tu t’y prends pour plier l’aile. Sinon merci pour ces images.
je suis bien couver en prediction et l'eau n'est jamais tres froide a Nice (14 degrés) ; pour plier , malgré les années et l 'experience, j'ai toujours l impression de débuter de ce oint de vue ... le plus important, rester loin des brides et les sortir des qu'inlay a un tour autour du pied, sans insister a nager tant que les pieds ne sont pas complètement libre... et meme sachant cela, c'est parfois limite....

Undesired speed? My max at this moment is around 50k/h, undesired would be 60k/h, ut its what u used to i guess

As you can see , i am not overpowered during the loop. Wind was not that high at that moment. Downloop was a way to ebsure keeping kite stability in this turbulence area of the start abd get quickly out of this zone. With a high AR foilkite, launching a loop is not very oowerful if you over pull on the innerline like ivdid. And it orevents sudden hindenburg and risk when reopening. My view abd exoerience at least.

Hi, 61 kg. Foil ketos skim 107 cm and front wing 1200 cm2. Hydrofoil of course. I have ordered a 21m to complete my 15m and 18m UL. I may sold my 18m if result is great to limit my quiver.
I have two hawk (4,6) and i am a freeride foil rider. I would like to know the difference in the material in the comparison between the kestrel and the hawk.
Compared to Hawk, the Kestrel is a lighter fabric made of nylon 66.
I mean why not stop & go smaller?
I tried after the 3-4 first minutes only, but wind and lift where so high that i had difficulties to stay upwind and come back to my departure point ! I even lost my small shoes twice when pulled above water surface. When back (after kite safety release close from shore to avoid injuring people), i switched to a 5m + hydrofoil.

Great skill. I want to expand my light wind capabilities. Maybe you could give me recommendations regarding gear. Is a Mid aspect foil or high aspect foil better? How big(cm^3) would you say the front and back wing should be for optimal performance in light wind? Is a bigger or smaller rear wing better? Is shimming the rear wing better or getting a bigger rear wing? I would really appreciate if you had an oppinion and vould share it. Thanks
hi, thanks ; you should give a bit more details about your weight and witefoil level; ok let's assume you are 75 kg and intermediate level (gibes and kite loops at waterstart) ; too high AR kites are not forgiving below 7 knots ; so if you want to ride below, choose a middle AR kite, like Conceptair pulsion, Falcon which are the kites I know with the best "easy" low-end ; then you can consider other kites which needs 1 more knot of wind, but with some advantages : Pansh Kestrel (agility , depower and high wind) , Soul2 (a bit heavy but easy and excellent relaunch) , Kitsch FRS (very stable , excellent relaunch and agility, a little lack of power so choose 15m minimum) , Gin Spirit (a bit less stable but very powerful and speed); the easier kite I tested is the recent Alma, hybrid foilkite, light but limited speed. One excellent alternative is the LEI Ocean Rodeo Alula kite, 14m or 17m, very light , agile, depower; just very expensive and need 7-8 knots to relaunch easily. Hope that helps
@@regisboulard thanks for your reply! Wouldn’t have expected that a little less AR on the kite would be easier in low wind. Definitely helpful. I am 65kg and am Intermediate level. What would your opinion be on hydrofoils? I heard high aspect foils are easier to pump, faster(so more apparent wind), but need more speed to get going initially. Is the initial speed required for a high aspect foil too high to get going and therefore a Mid aspect one is better suited?
I cannot answer easily because my higher AR foils are smaller. Surface is the key... I have the easier waterstart with my low AR 1200cm2. However my higher AR freeride2 comes quite close to it , despite 750 cm2 i think

Its was some Time ago ! But i'll Say slight better low end , high end not tested but should be not as good as those 2 champions of high end. Very stable and forgiving. A bit less agile for kiteloops but very excellent Price/quality value. I know the n'est owners and he may sell it if interested
